The position of OT Cybersecurity Technologist involves commissioning the preparation and implementation of necessary operational security software updates, firewall installations, hardware additions, and authorized technical changes to ensure compliance with internal security policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include designing and managing processes for detection, investigation, correction, and prosecution of operational security breaches, violations, and incidents; benchmarking, analyzing, and reporting on OT security infrastructure improvements; collaborating with management to address OT security issues as new equipment, facilities, services, and systems are installed; liaising with operational security governance functions and senior/middle management on information security matters; planning, implementing, and upgrading security measures and controls; protecting digital files and systems against unauthorized access; maintaining data and reviewing security access authorizations; managing network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems; utilizing security tools such as asset inventory management and risk management reporting to SIEM; defining and maintaining corporate security manuals and policies; coordinating security plans and vendor awareness; performing security assessments of network infrastructure, hosts, and applications; addressing ICS security audit findings and corrective actions; downloading, validating, and applying antivirus DAT files; monitoring and analyzing assets using supportive tools; analyzing ICS firewall events, DNS, router, and switch logs; validating and deploying firmware and software updates; defining and implementing backup schedules for all ICS assets; managing user accounts for ICS, network, and security equipment; supporting project execution teams to integrate new OT systems into plant security frameworks; collecting and archiving system logs and events to support audit and forensic analysis; and ensuring compliance with published ICS policies and instructions. Essential skills include a Bachelor's Degree in Information Security Technology, Computer Science, or Electronic/Electrical Engineering; ICS certification from SANS is required, with additional advantage given for GIAC GICSP, ISA CAP, ISA-99/IEC-62443, Advanced SCADA Security, Industrial Cybersecurity for OPC, and OPC-UA Hands-on Training Level-3 certificates; 3-5 years of field experience in OT Cybersecurity in the oil & gas and petrochemical industry; excellent knowledge of IT/OT ICS specialization areas including PLCs, DCSs, PDCSs, firewalls, networks, and switches; knowledge of standards frameworks such as ISA99, IEC62433, IEC61511, IEC62351, IEC62591, ISO27001, 27002, 27005; strong understanding of core operations and information security requirements; and extensive knowledge of various ICS and OEM technologies including Siemens, HIMA, TRICONEX, HONEYWELL, GE, Allen Bradley, CISCO, and McAfee. The offer includes a monthly rate in QAR plus allowance, a work schedule of 8 hours per day for 5 days, a duration of 2 years with possible extension, and location in Qatar.
