Information Architect | Information Management Improvement.

Start Date: 1 December 2026.

Duration: 1 to a maximum of 3 years.

Contract Type: Freelance/ZZP possible.

Assignment: For the next phase of an Information Management Improvement programme, we are looking for an experienced Information Architect. The programme focuses on improving Information Management, including: development of an Information Management Framework, technical pilots around policy-based access control, automated information classification, improvement of governance, classification, protection, and management of sensitive and business-critical information.

Responsibilities: The Information Architect will be responsible for ensuring architectural coherence across information domains, metadata management, taxonomies, information lifecycle management, classification, policies and controls, and governance. In addition, the architect will connect these domains to technical pilots and the wider enterprise architecture landscape. The role also involves translating the Information Management vision into a concrete target-state architecture and a realistic implementation roadmap.

Desired Profile: The ideal candidate will have: strong experience as an Information Architect or Information Management Architect; the ability to connect business processes, information domains, applications, metadata, governance, and policies; proven experience developing target architectures and implementation roadmaps; experience working in complex engineering environments, regulated organisations, or security-sensitive environments (strong preference); and excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
