The interim Engineering Manager will be placed at an internationally operating organisation with a technology hub in the Amsterdam region. The team builds and maintains a digital platform used by large numbers of users daily, as part of a broader, globally distributed engineering organisation. Core tasks include leading a team of approximately 25 engineers across Amsterdam and two nearshore locations, building cohesion, raising engineering standards, and ensuring delivery decisions sit with engineering. The manager operates independently in a corporate environment with limited top-down guidance. The role starts as an interim assignment, with a clear pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate. Required experience includes proven experience as an Engineering Manager leading larger teams, strong people management and delivery focus, comfort navigating corporate, politically complex environments, experience with distributed or nearshore teams, and sufficient technical depth to earn credibility with engineers. Offered: an interim assignment with a clear path to permanent, a rate of approximately €125 per hour, an ASAP start, and a location in the Amsterdam region.
