Interim Financial Controller

The organisation operates in the Transport & Distribution industry in Schiphol. As an Interim Financial Consultant, you will work within Accounting & Finance for a Transport & Distribution organisation. You will provide financial consultancy during a temporary assignment and help develop process improvements within AFAS.

Key responsibilities: Lead the optimization of financial processes within AFAS, identifying and implementing efficiency improvements across the finance function. Manage and enhance financial reporting, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable insights for stakeholders. Oversee the purchase invoice process and support the smooth execution of month-end and year-end closing activities. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing analysis and recommendations to improve performance.

Act as the AFAS subject matter expert, partnering with finance and business teams to resolve issues, improve workflows, and drive best practices. A successful 'Interim Financial Consultant' should have: Strong financial analysis and reporting capability. Advanced hands-on experience with AFAS, including finance modules, reporting, and process optimization. Fluent Dutch language. Practical knowledge of financial processes within a Finance setting.

The ability to be present in the office 5 days per week.
