Interim Head of Finance bij Triodos Investment Management in Driebergen-rijsenburg. Het betreft een freelance-functie voor 36 uur per week met een looptijd van zo spoedig mogelijk. De salarisindicatie is €145,00 per uur. Reageren kan tot woensdag 28 oktober 2026, 11:00.

Location: Driebergen-Zeist, Netherlands (hybrid).

Assignment duration: One year, with possible extension. As Interim Head of Finance, you will lead the Finance team through a period of transition. You will ensure business continuity, oversee delivery of the annual accounts, support the move to a future operating model and strengthen the business control function. You will help guide changes including the outsourcing of operational activities, improvements to data infrastructure and the further professionalisation of finance processes.

As a strategic partner to leadership, you will help shape the future of Finance while building trust through an approachable, authentic and pragmatic leadership style.

Key responsibilities: Provide interim leadership and ensure continuity and stability across the Finance function. Lead and mentor a team of 12–13 professionals across Accounting, Reporting, Control and Oversight. Oversee financial management, reporting and control processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency. Take ownership of the timely delivery of the annual accounts and related reporting obligations. Guide the Finance team through the transition to the future operating model.

Develop and implement a finance strategy aligned with organisational priorities and long-term goals. Lead budgeting and support business case development for new products and initiatives. Strengthen internal controls and audit readiness, identifying and mitigating risks. Advise and challenge senior management on financial matters as a trusted business partner. Improve finance processes and insights by leveraging technology, BI tools and data infrastructure.

Work with internal and external stakeholders to align financial goals and governance. Support the team through change and help prepare the organisation for the future.

Your profile: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; relevant certifications such as RA, RC, CPA or CMA. At least 9–10 years of experience in financial services, including 4–5 years in a managerial or interim leadership role. Proven experience as an independent interim professional, preferably in the Dutch financial sector. Experience leading finance teams through organisational change and transformation. Up-to-date knowledge of Dutch and international financial regulations, particularly in asset management.

Strong experience in financial reporting, governance, risk management and audit processes. Strategic, analytical and technology-minded, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Able to balance results with people’s needs and bring teams along through change. Learning agility and a strong commitment to change. Committed to sustainable finance and a collaborative, approachable leadership style.

Eisen: For indirect freelance assignments arranged through a supplier, a fee-only agreement is mandatory. The contractor will operate independently, without an employment relationship. The assignment will not start unless screening by Magnit and Triodos is fully completed. Candidates must have a master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with relevant certifications (RA, RC, CPA or CMA). Candidates must have at least 9–10 years of experience within financial services, including 4–5 years in a managerial or interim leadership position.

Candidate must be available throughout the entire duration of the assignment. Candidate must be submitted exclusively to Magnit – Triodos, with a maximum of two candidates per supplier. Submitted resumes and motivation letters must be in English or Dutch. All submitted candidates must possess a valid passport or ID card and bring it to the interview and the start of the assignment. Candidates must undergo pre-employment screening by the client and provide the ID check and personal data processing form required by Magnit.

Suppliers must be aware of the laws and regulations regarding employment conditions and the CAO banken.

Wensen: Proven track record as an independent interim professional, preferably within the Dutch financial sector, is desired. Experience with process improvement and outsourcing is highly valued.
