Interim Senior Financial Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Interim Senior Financial Controller to join a growing international organization. This role is ideal for a finance professional who can quickly add value, act as a trusted business partner, and provide hands-on support across the finance function during a key transition period. The location is Moordrecht, the role is 40 hours per week according to the key facts, but the contract & conditions section states 32-40 hours per week; contract is 3 months with extension possible, start date ASAP, hourly rate to be discussed, and ZZP/freelance is allowed.

The candidate will act as a sparring partner to management, take ownership of critical financial processes, and contribute hands-on. Responsibilities include taking ownership of day-to-day financial control activities within the Benelux business, driving and finalizing ongoing audit activities for the Belgian entity, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, assisting with month-end close and financial reporting, identifying and implementing process improvements, working closely with accounting, payroll, controlling, and cash collection teams, supporting internal controls and compliance, and collaborating with Group Finance and international stakeholders.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a background in Audit combined with a minimum of 2-4 years of Financial Control experience; experience as a Senior Financial Controller in an international environment; hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) is mandatory; strong Excel skills; solid understanding of audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting; ability to operate independently; fluent English communication skills.
