We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior VAT Accountant to take full ownership of the VAT compliance and financial routines during a replacement.
Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden: End-to-end management of Belgian and international VAT compliance (monthly/quarterly declarations, EC Sales lists, Intrastat returns); Reviewing cross-border transactions, invoicing rules, and territoriality regulations; Day-to-day general accounting duties, reconciliations, and supporting period-end closures; Serving as the internal point of contact for VAT and tax-related queries.
Kwalificatie: Experience: Proven track record as a Senior VAT Accountant or Senior General Accountant with deep VAT expertise in Belgium / EU.
Languages: Fluent English is required. Knowledge of German is a strong asset.
Mindset: Highly autonomous, flexible, hands-on, and able to hit the ground running from Day 1.
Availability: Available to start in November for a 4-month assignment.
