IT Project Manager – Software Development & Agile Delivery

Our client, a leading organization in the public technology sector, is looking for an experienced professional to lead complex IT and software development projects. The role focuses on guiding multidisciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle, blending traditional project management with agile principles to deliver high-quality digital solutions.

Responsibilities: Plan and organize complex IT software development and implementation projects from inception to completion; monitor project scope, timing, budget, capacity, and risks; coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external vendors within a multi-project delivery context; facilitate release management, implementations, and migrations while ensuring rigorous quality control; provide transparent status reporting and decision-making data; implement and professionalize agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban across teams.

Requirements: Master's degree or equivalent; 5+ years of experience as a project leader in infrastructure or software development projects; expertise in project management methodologies such as Prince2 or PMBok; extensive experience with agile frameworks (Scrum and Kanban); proficiency in project and backlog management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps; strong understanding of release, test, and quality management; experience managing complex dependencies; ability to translate business needs into technical solutions; proactive, analytical, excellent facilitation and presentation skills; native in Dutch with professional knowledge of English.

Nice to haves: Knowledge of ITIL, MS Project and MS Office, Enterprise Architecture alignment, data migrations, RFI/RFP/vendor selection, demand management and financial forecasting.

Offer: Start date 13 October 2026, duration until 31 December 2027, full-time, location Antwerp, working model onsite, contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
