IT Solution Lead

Our client is looking for an IT Solution Lead who will serve as the technical reference within the Geospatial Product Team, bridging business requirements and technology solutions. You will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, Scrum Masters, suppliers, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of secure, scalable, and future-proof geospatial solutions.

Key responsibilities include: leading all technical aspects of the product lifecycle within the team; translating and challenging business requirements into functional and technical solutions; contributing to solution architecture and ensuring compliance with enterprise, security, and technology standards; coordinating with internal technical and functional teams during project delivery and operational phases; providing expertise on software design, technology selection, resource planning, and budget estimation; leading the implementation and configuration of geospatial platforms and products; overseeing the development, deployment, and support of custom-built applications, primarily based on Microsoft technologies; managing the integration of off-the-shelf software solutions within the broader IT ecosystem; conducting fit-gap analyses and supporting software evaluation, RFI/RFP, and vendor selection activities; monitoring suppliers, SLAs, and KPIs while driving continuous improvement initiatives; and contributing to product roadmaps, supplier management, licensing discussions, and service governance.

Required Skills & Experience: Education & Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Experience in the utilities or energy sector is considered an asset.

Technical Expertise: Strong background in software development, integration, and solution management. Extensive experience with enterprise GIS platforms and geospatial technologies, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS APIs & SDKs, and Safe Software FME. Knowledge of VertiGIS solutions (Studio, Integrator) is a plus. Strong understanding of .NET, Visual Studio, and SQL Server. Experience with functional analysis, data modelling, and solution design.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures. Good knowledge of software architecture principles, security standards, compliance requirements, and IT service management practices.

Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Able to collaborate with both technical and business teams. Proactive, autonomous, and customer-oriented mindset.

Languages: Fluent in Dutch and/or French. Professional working proficiency in English.

Location & Working Model: Location: Brussels region. Hybrid working model with remote work possibilities according to company policy. Candidates working in Belgium must hold a valid Belgian work and residence permit if applicable.
