IT Support & System Engineer – Windows & Linux

Our client, a major player in the maritime and logistics sector, is looking for an IT Support & System Engineer to maintain and improve their IT infrastructure. This role focuses on technical analysis, incident management, and ensuring the stability of critical systems within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include: troubleshooting Windows and Linux systems through log analysis and system commands; monitoring system logs and managing incidents to ensure operational reliability; coordinating incident responses and collaborating with internal teams and external partners; supporting network systems, system integration, and service desk tooling; executing technical scripts and performing analyses to drive continuous improvement; and developing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation following ITIL guidelines.

Requirements: a Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent professional experience; knowledge of Windows environments and Microsoft Office; basic experience with Linux systems and troubleshooting; understanding of ITIL processes and service management; experience with networking, monitoring tools, and log data management; being analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented; and fluency in Dutch and English.

Nice to have: knowledge of ServiceNow, experience with Dynatrace monitoring, and familiarity with SharePoint.

Offer: start date ASAP, duration 6 months with potential extension, full-time work regime, location Antwerp, onsite working model, and contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
