Junior Airflow Infra Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced Airflow Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in containerization, Kubernetes platforms and cloud-native technologies. The candidate has demonstrated experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Helmfile and Red Hat OpenShift for designing, deploying, administering and troubleshooting containerized applications in complex enterprise environments. In addition, the consultant has extensive knowledge of GitOps principles and experience with Argo CD for automated and standardized deployments across multiple environments.

The ideal candidate also has extensive experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines through GitLab CI/CD and/or GitHub Actions and is familiar with Apache Airflow for the installation, configuration, administration and support of data and workflow processes. In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate has a good knowledge of English and can communicate fluently in Dutch and/or French, with a pragmatic and hands-on approach within a multidisciplinary team.

Technical skills: Knowledge of English (C1: complex proficiency). Knowledge of French or Dutch (C1: complex proficiency). Practical experience with containerization of applications using Docker, including building and optimizing images and managing registries (L2: minimum 2 years of experience). Experience in managing and operating Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, configuration and troubleshooting of workloads (L3: minimum 5 years of experience).

Experience with Helm for packaging, deploying and managing the configuration of Kubernetes applications through charts (L2: minimum 2 years of experience). Experience with Helmfile and Go templates (gotmpl) for managing reproducible Helm deployments across multiple environments (L2: minimum 2 years of experience). Experience in managing and operating the Red Hat OpenShift platform, including deployment and troubleshooting of containerized applications (L1: some experience required).

Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI and/or GitHub Actions (L2: minimum 2 years of experience). Experience with Argo CD for continuous deployment of Kubernetes applications according to GitOps principles (L1: some experience required). Experience with the installation, configuration, administration and operational support of Apache Airflow, including deployment and troubleshooting of DAGs (L1: some experience required).

Soft skills: Demonstrates knowledge of the company, the IT world and an understanding of the challenges associated with the requested role. Also understands the company's mission and core activities. Demonstrates the ability to integrate into the company teams, particularly through the values of kindness, courage, positivity and reliability.
