Senior Legal Counsel IT & Contracting (Jurist C)

You and your job

You advise on complex contracting and technology-related matters where procurement, regulation and business priorities come together. Working closely with Procurement & Third-Party Management (PTM), CITO and business stakeholders, you help identify and manage legal risks while translating legal and regulatory complexity into practical and workable solutions.

You independently manage complex dossiers that often involve multiple stakeholders and business domains. You provide clear, risk-based legal advice, support decision-making and balance legal, commercial and operational considerations to achieve sustainable outcomes.

Within Legal Corporate Services, you are a trusted sparring partner who contributes to knowledge sharing and collaboration across the team. You actively support and coach less experienced colleagues and help strengthen the overall legal capability of the department.

Responsibilities

- Advise on complex IT, sourcing and commercial contracting matters.

- Draft, review and negotiate technology and commercial agreements.

- Assess legal and regulatory risks and provide pragmatic, risk-based advice.

- Support stakeholders in matters relating to technology, digitalisation and AI.

- Contribute to policy development and implementation of legal frameworks.

- Coach and support junior colleagues.

You and your talent

- Master's degree in Dutch Law.

- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as legal counsel, attorney or corporate lawyer.

- Experience with complex commercial and IT contracts.

- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

- Affinity with technology, digitalisation and AI.

- Fluent in Dutch and English.

- Pragmatic, solution-oriented and able to translate legal complexity into actionable advice.
