Lead Full-Stack Engineer — GenAI Developer Platform. The role: build the portal through which thousands of developers get their hands on GenAI capabilities. Front-end, back-end and the cloud plumbing underneath — you own the solution end to end, from design through to running it in production. It's an internal developer platform in the truest sense: your users are engineers, they're demanding, and adoption is the metric that matters. The GenAI ambition here is organisation-wide and moving fast, which makes this a rare combination — genuinely new capability, deployed at real scale, inside an environment where security and governance can't be skipped. The environment: our client is an international bank with a large, globally distributed engineering population. You'll join a multi-disciplinary team in an innovation-focused part of the organisation — one built around fast learning, quick delivery and visible results rather than long roadmaps. You'll work with DevOps teams, data scientists, product people and business stakeholders across the organisation. It's a heavily regulated setting, so security and compliance standards are part of the design conversation from the first sketch. What you'll do: design, build, test, deploy and run a scalable, secure and cost-effective GenAI portal; design and integrate APIs that connect multiple systems and platforms securely; automate capability deployment, configuration and governance relentlessly; build ways for teams to get access to — and insight into — the platform's building blocks; work with DevOps teams and stakeholders to improve usability and drive adoption; pair-program on the genuinely hard problems. Tech stack: Core: ReactJS · NodeJS · TypeScript · Azure · Infrastructure as Code · Azure DevOps · REST APIs. Also in the mix: Python · Go · Kong or Istio · Spotify Backstage · Kafka. What you bring: Must-haves: five or more years in DevOps or software engineering roles; proficiency in ReactJS and NodeJS with TypeScript — this is a real full-stack role, not back-end with a bit of UI; Azure cloud, DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code; a proven track record of getting IT systems into production, not just built; experience working in highly regulated environments; security and observability awareness: monitoring, compliance and reliability as defaults. Nice to have: Python for automation and API development; API gateways and service mesh technologies such as Kong or Istio; Go, or experience with Spotify Backstage; Kafka. You can explain a complex technical idea to someone who doesn't share your background, and you get something out of helping less experienced engineers get better. At this level, that's half the job. Good to know: 36 or 40 hours a week; a pre-employment screening is part of the process — standard for the financial sector; working language is English; Dutch is not required; you'll need a valid EU work permit or existing right to work in the Netherlands.
