Lead Project Engineer Multi/P&M

As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development and improvement of a plant and you work closely together on the largest projects. Together with a team of experts, you will provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities include: developing and safeguarding the project's technical basis, design philosophy, scope, and battery limits; leading and integrating engineering across disciplines with a focus on M&P; organizing design reviews; translating process and project requirements into robust Mechanical & Piping concepts; assessing technical solutions; directing and challenging EPCm partners; organizing technical decision-making; identifying risks; supporting technical specifications; following up fabrication and inspections; providing engineering support during construction and commissioning; supporting the Project Manager; and coaching engineers.

Requirements include: a master's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; extensive experience in technical design and engineering in an industrial or process environment; demonstrable specialist knowledge of Mechanical & Piping engineering; experience with multidisciplinary CAPEX projects; ability to provide technical direction; familiarity with standards such as PED, ATEX, EN 13480; a VCA-VOL certificate is required; knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D is an asset; ability to work with project controls; and non-technical profile requirements such as combining technical depth with broad overview, decisiveness, pragmatic problem-solving, clear communication, structured independent work, and fluency in Dutch and English.
