(Lead) Security Engineer Medior/Junior

Security Engineer – Implementation / Operations. Cybersecurity, Network Security & Infrastructure. Amersfoort. Secondment. For a large technology and telecommunications organization, we are looking for two Security Engineers (Junior+ to Medior level) to support the maintenance, implementation and lifecycle management of enterprise security platforms. We have two positions available: Security Implementation Engineer and Security Operations Engineer.

Both roles focus on maintaining secure, reliable and up-to-date infrastructure, including software upgrades, patching, hardware replacements, remediation and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities: Perform lifecycle management activities on enterprise security platforms; Maintain and improve security infrastructure using F5, Palo Alto, Check Point and Cisco technologies; Execute software upgrades, patches, license renewals and hardware replacements; Support security remediation and operational changes; Work with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform and Git; Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Role 1: Security Implementation Engineer.

This role focuses on building, configuring and implementing security solutions.

Required Skills & Experience: Hands-on experience implementing network security solutions; Technical knowledge of F5, Palo Alto, Check Point or Cisco security products; Experience with security infrastructure design and implementation; Experience developing Ansible playbooks; Ability to use and modify Terraform modules; Experience with Git workflows; Relevant certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, CCSA, CCSE, F5 or CCNA/CCNP Security, depending on seniority.

Role 2: Security Operations Engineer. This role focuses on daily security platform operations, troubleshooting and maintaining infrastructure stability.

Required Skills & Experience: Hands-on experience managing and supporting network security platforms; Knowledge of F5, Palo Alto, Check Point or Cisco security products; Experience with operational changes, incident resolution and troubleshooting; Experience executing Ansible playbooks and Terraform deployments; Basic Git knowledge and Python experience; Relevant certifications such as PCNSA, CCSA, F5 or CCNA, depending on seniority.

Working Environment: You will join a technical security environment responsible for maintaining enterprise network security infrastructure. Both positions require a hands-on mindset, technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The Implementation Engineer focuses primarily on building and deploying security solutions, while the Operations Engineer focuses on daily management, troubleshooting and operational stability.
