Omschrijving
IDFA is the leading institute for documentary film and new media. Every November, IDFA welcomes around 295,000 visits and 3,000 professionals to Amsterdam for a leading international festival program. We're looking for location managers for IDFA 2026. The festival takes place from 12 to 22 November. As always, the heart of the festival is Amsterdam, where more than 200 documentaries are shown in a large number of cinemas and movie theaters from early in the morning until late at night. School performances take place in the mornings and the new media program IDFA DocLab is again present. To manage the ins and outs at all different locations, we are looking for enthusiastic location managers. Depending on the size of your location and the intensity of the program, it is run by a combination of location managers and floor managers or only a location manager. You are the representative of the production department on location, you manage the volunteers, you maintain contact with the location owner, technicians and suppliers and you ensure that the programs can take place according to the timetable. We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible people with experience in festival work. You have experience managing people from diverse backgrounds, can stay calm and solution-oriented in hectic situations, and enjoy working in a dynamic festival environment. You are available for the full festival period: 12–22 November, you can attend the paid training on 7 November in Amsterdam, and you want to work at least 7 shifts during the festival. The location manager and floormanager are positions for which compensation of €20,- (bruto/ex. BTW) an hour is available. Next to that you get a passepartout for the festival and lunch/dinner during shifts. Home-work travel expenses (within the Netherlands) are also reimbursed. It’s only possible to apply for this job as a freelancer (ZZP) or Dutch citizen (with BSN). We can pay you through payroll. You can apply until September 11th. Due to a lot of applications, we can close this earlier.
