Logistics Improvement Manager

The organization operates large scale production facilities and focuses on supply chain excellence, operational efficiency, sustainability, and continuous improvement across its manufacturing network.

About the Role: We are seeking a Logistics Specialist / Logistics Team Leader to support logistics operations at a major manufacturing site in Borculo. This role combines operational leadership with project management responsibilities, focusing on logistics optimization, process improvement, and team coordination. The successful candidate will lead logistics improvement initiatives, supervise warehouse and expedition activities, and contribute to both short term and long term supply chain strategies.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex logistics challenges in a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities: Lead and support a team of 4 warehouse and expedition employees; Drive logistics improvement projects using DMAIC methodology; Participate in daily management and operational control meetings; Represent the logistics function in cross functional improvement teams; Analyze and optimize logistics processes within manufacturing operations; Track and report logistics KPIs on a monthly basis; Support safety, quality, sustainability, service, and cost improvement objectives; Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments; Contribute to strategic and operational logistics projects; Participate in on call duty rotations outside office hours when required.

Requirements: HBO or WO degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; Experience with logistics process improvement initiatives; Leadership experience or proven ability to lead cross functional projects; Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities; Knowledge of SAP, EWM, and MES systems is preferred; Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; Proactive, flexible, and resilient mindset; Fluent Dutch language skills are required; Good English communication skills are an advantage.
