Omschrijving

Our client is a global healthcare and pharmaceutical organization dedicated to developing and delivering innovative medicines that improve patients’ lives worldwide. Its Leiden site is an important biopharmaceutical manufacturing and supply hub, operating in a highly regulated environment where quality, reliability, and continuous improvement are essential. We are looking for a Logistics Process Owner to take ownership of material supply processes at a biotherapeutics site in Leiden. In this role, you will look at how materials move through the warehouse, distribution, and supply processes, identify where things can be improved, and help implement more efficient and reliable ways of working. You will work closely with warehouse, distribution, operations, and planning teams and use data and process insights to improve performance. The role combines logistics, process improvement, documentation, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include taking ownership of material supply and related logistics processes; analyzing existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities; developing, updating, and maintaining SOPs and other process documentation; ensuring documentation remains accurate, compliant, and reviewed on time; working with warehouse, distribution, operations, and planning teams to solve process issues; identifying opportunities to improve logistics processes through technology, automation, WMS/TMS, and other digital solutions; defining and monitoring KPIs to measure process performance; using data and performance trends to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making; driving continuous improvement initiatives and helping implement sustainable process changes; and communicating process improvements and aligning stakeholders across different teams. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain optimization, process improvement, or a comparable role; strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; experience analyzing processes and translating findings into practical improvements; strong attention to detail, particularly around data and process documentation; experience working with SOPs and within a regulated or quality-driven environment; good knowledge of logistics systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; strong communication and stakeholder management skills; comfort working with multiple teams and managing different priorities; fluency in English (Dutch is a strong advantage); Lean/Six Sigma knowledge or certification is a plus; and willingness to work five days onsite in Leiden.
