Eisen
- Raise and implement changes through CAB process
- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and storage failover activities
- Maintain documentation for storage configurations and procedures
- Analyse trends and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with audit, security, and organisational standards
- Perform storage allocation, dataset management, and volume configuration
- Install and maintain storage related software and utilities
- Ensure data integrity and meet RPO/RTO commitments
- Product Migration Experience from CA tools/SW to IBM SW/Tools
- Implement and monitor backup and recovery processes
- Basic understanding of z/OS system, JCL, and batch processing
- Working language English (fluent in speech and writing)
- Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and support
- Working on Sync confirmation, Stop/Suspend replications and Personality Swap activities using DELL Storage PMAX, VTL and DLM and DD
- Develop and implement automation scripts for storage operations
- Monitor storage usage and forecast capacity requirements
- Ensure optimal space utilisation and storage lifecycle management
- Knowledge of DFSMS, DFSMSdss, DFHSM, IDCAMS
- Strong experience in z/OS Storage Management (DASD, SMS, HSM)
- Manage and maintain mainframe storage subsystems (DASD, tape, and virtual storage)
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
- Experience with storage replication, backup/recovery tools
- Optimise I/O performance and reduce storage bottlenecks
- Support storage hardware upgrades and firmware updates
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Ensure timely closure of incidents as per SLA
- Provide L2/L3 support for storage related incidents
- Familiarity with tape management systems and virtual tape libraries (VTL)
Omschrijving
De opdracht betreft een remote Mainframe Storage Manager die zich richt op het migreren van storage tooling van CA naar IBM. Verantwoordelijkheden omvatten het beheren van z/OS storage (DASD, SMS, HSM), replicatie, tape/VTL, capaciteits- en performancemanagement, backup & recovery/DR, upgrades, incident- en probleemafhandeling (L2/L3), change- en compliancetaken (CAB), en automatisering. Ervaring met productmigratie van CA-tools naar IBM-tools is vereist, evenals werken met DELL Storage PMAX, VTL, DLM en DD voor sync-confirmatie, stop/suspend-replicatie en personality swap-activiteiten. Voorbeelden van migraties: CA Allocate DASD Space naar IBM TAAM/DFSMS, CA 1 Tape Management naar DFSMSrmm, CA Disk Backup naar DFSMShsm. Must-haves: sterke ervaring met z/OS storage management (DASD, SMS, HSM), kennis van DFSMS, DFSMSdss, DFHSM, IDCAMS, ervaring met storage replicatie en backup/recovery tools, bekendheid met tape management systemen en virtual tape libraries (VTL), en basiskennis van z/OS, JCL en batch processing.
