Maintenance Technician (Shift Based)

Our client is an established production organisation in the food industry, operating in a safety- and quality-driven environment. The site works with modern technical installations and relies on a strong maintenance team to keep operations running smoothly and reliably. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician (Mechanical & Electrical) to support daily production by resolving breakdowns quickly and performing preventive maintenance. The Maintenance Technician (Mechanical & Electrical) ensures equipment and facilities remain in good technical condition, with a strong focus on safe working and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in installations inside and outside production areas. Assess the type and impact of malfunctions and determine whether immediate repair is required. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment in good technical condition. Supervise and coordinate external engineers/contractors when needed. Identify and report important technical issues to the Chief Engineer.

Provide instructions to colleagues and keep them informed about technical matters. Use hand tools and machine tools to process materials when required. Work in line with site rules, including safety instructions and quality standards.

Requirements: MBO level 3 or 4 in maintenance/engineering, or relevant hands-on maintenance experience. Strong knowledge of mechanics and electrical engineering; able to handle breakdowns independently. Experience/knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, control systems, and safe electrical switching. Familiar with working in a structured environment with safety and quality procedures (e.g., HACCP and Food Defense are a plus). Willing to work in a 2- or 3-shift pattern and participate in on-call/consignment duties.

Temporary Full-Time Contract (1 year). The role is based on-site in Boxtel (North Brabant).
