Manufacturing Plant Manager

The company is a well established food manufacturing organization specializing in the production of butter and butter oil products for the professional market. The production facility operates continuously and is focused on operational excellence, food safety, process improvement, and future growth through technology and investment initiatives. The role is for an experienced Manufacturing Plant Manager to lead a food production facility through a significant transformation phase.

This interim leadership role will focus on stabilizing operational performance, strengthening team capabilities, driving continuous improvement, and preparing the site for future expansion and technology upgrades. The successful candidate will bring strong operational leadership together with a hands on technical background. Responsibilities include leading the overall operations of a 24 hour manufacturing facility; managing and developing the Site Management Team across Production, Maintenance, Technology, Operational Excellence, SHE, Quality, Planning and Logistics, and Finance; driving operational performance improvements across safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency; leading continuous improvement and transformation initiatives across the site; building leadership capability and improving accountability throughout the organization; supporting culture change and workforce development programs; overseeing technology upgrades, automation initiatives, and capital investment projects; ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards; managing plant performance through key operational metrics; and preparing the organization for future growth and organizational change.

Requirements include extensive experience as a Manufacturing Plant Manager within a manufacturing environment; a proven track record leading change management and continuous improvement initiatives; a strong technical or engineering background; experience within food manufacturing is essential; experience managing 24 hour production operations; knowledge of automation and manufacturing technology; experience delivering investment and capital projects; strong leadership and people development capabilities; the ability to drive operational excellence and performance improvements; hands on manufacturing and engineering experience; and experience developing high performing production teams.
