Material Planner Specialist

Job Description: For our client in Nuenen, we are looking for a Supply & Inventory Planning Specialist. In this role, the Supply & Inventory Planning Specialist ensures production is supplied by planning material requirements, monitoring stock levels, and solving supply issues proactively. Alongside daily planning, the Supply & Inventory Planning Specialist leads improvement initiatives to strengthen planning processes, data quality, and overall inventory performance.

Responsibilities: Plan, monitor, and optimise material availability to support production. Analyse stock levels and define appropriate buffer stock levels to avoid shortages. Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and take action with the relevant stakeholders to resolve them. Prepare reports and KPI insights to support decision-making and prioritisation. Lead improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and process optimisation.

Work closely with production, purchasing, logistics, and quality teams to align priorities and execution. Use and improve the planning set-up in SAP (materials and production planning modules) to improve data quality and material flow.

Requirements: Bachelor-level working and thinking level (preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration). Proven experience in material planning, inventory management, and supply/demand planning. Strong analytical skills and a practical, results-driven mindset. Experience leading or driving improvement projects (process improvement / optimisation). Confident communicator who can work effectively with multiple departments. SAP experience is a strong advantage (materials management / production planning).

Comfortable working fully on-site in Nuenen.
