Mechanical Engineer

The Development Engineer is responsible for interpreting complex engineering requirements to devise and deliver optimal design solutions for sophisticated medical device components under limited supervision. In this role, you will guide the development of robust test plans, procedures, and protocols to validate engineering designs while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards. You will leverage advanced problem-solving skills to resolve multifaceted technical issues, minimize production downtime, and evaluate high-potential vendor technologies to ensure alignment with quality, performance, and strategic goals.

Responsibilities: Interpret complex engineering requirements to deliver optimal design solutions for medical device components, integrating actionable feedback from testing, user experience studies, and market trends to drive product excellence. Guide the creation of robust test plans, procedures, and protocols to rigorously validate designs against stringent quality and regulatory standards. Resolve complex technical issues across hardware and system components to prevent production downtime and optimize product lifecycle and reliability.

Evaluate and approve high-potential components and technologies from external vendors to ensure they meet rigorous quality, performance, and strategic benchmarks. Present persuasive technical findings, design proposals, and project updates to senior leadership and executive management. Provide expert mentorship to junior engineers, implement advanced engineering best practices, and drive continuous process improvements to accelerate time-to-market.

Cultivate effective relationships with internal and external partners to influence projects and drive operational excellence across peer groups.

Required Skills: Advanced proficiency in Medical Device Product Design and development. Expertise in Verification Testing and Validation Testing methodologies. Strong background in Hardware Engineering and Requirements Analysis. Demonstrated mastery in Troubleshooting and technical problem-solving. In-depth understanding of Regulatory Requirements and Quality Specifications. Professional Technical Documentation and executive-level Communication Skills.

Preferred Qualification: Hands-on experience with CREO CAD software. Practical knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles. Familiarity with Product Development Lifecycle Management. Working experience in an Agile way of working environment. Strong Business Acumen and dedication to Continuous Improvement.
