Finance Business Partner (Operations)

Company: Our client is a global manufacturing organisation operating a large, high-performing production site. The environment is hands-on and business-focused, where finance plays a key role in driving performance, supporting operational decision-making, and enabling continuous improvement.

Job Description: For our client, we are looking for a Plant Finance Business Partner (Operations) to support a major production facility in Borculo (NL). This role combines plant controlling with true business partnering: turning financial insights into practical actions, improving factory performance, and strengthening financial control in a dynamic operations setting.

Responsibilities: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reporting for the production site; act as a finance business partner to local operations and management, providing clear insights and recommendations; review and validate business cases and savings initiatives linked to improvement programs; support cost calculations and financial assessments for new products and operational decisions; translate reporting needs into effective dashboards and management information (e.g., SAP and Power BI); contribute to a strong compliance mindset and internal control environment; support finance-related change initiatives, including system/process improvements (e.g., SAP S/4HANA transition); collaborate closely with other finance stakeholders (site finance, shared services, and head office teams).

Requirements: University degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, or Business Administration; 2–5 years of relevant experience in controlling, finance, or business control; strong analytical skills with the ability to translate numbers into actions; comfortable partnering with multiple stakeholders in an operational/manufacturing environment; working proficiency in Dutch and English; experience with SAP and Excel; Power BI is a strong plus; interest in digitalisation and modern tools/technologies (e.g., automation, data, Copilot).
