PKI PM

We are seeking an experienced Senior PKI Project Manager / PKI Architect to lead complex Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) transformation, implementation, and governance initiatives. This role combines strong project management expertise with deep technical knowledge of PKI environments, digital certificates, encryption technologies, and cybersecurity best practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing large-scale IT projects while driving the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's PKI ecosystem.

This position requires close collaboration with security teams, infrastructure teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders to ensure secure and compliant digital trust services.

Important: Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience and be European citizens eligible for Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Manage and deliver highly complex IT projects in accordance with PMO standards, agreed budgets, timelines, scope, and quality objectives. Define project strategies, long-term goals, roadmaps, and deliverables. Participate in steering committees, working groups, and project governance meetings. Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, quality plans, milestones, and deliverables. Produce regular status reports and communicate project progress to key stakeholders.

Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders. Monitor project expenditures. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies. Liaise with programme managers, external vendors, suppliers, and account managers. Manage project change requests. Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to project team members.

PKI Architecture & Engineering: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise PKI solutions. Manage PKI services supporting secure communications, digital certificates, encryption, authentication, and digital signatures. Oversee PKI-related procurement activities, including tender preparation, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and contract management. Define PKI architecture standards and technology roadmaps. Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of PKI infrastructure.

Security Audits & Risk Management: Conduct security assessments, audits, and vulnerability analyses of PKI environments. Identify security risks and develop remediation plans. Support compliance reviews and security certification initiatives. Ensure secure lifecycle management of certificates, keys, and cryptographic assets.

Security Integration & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cybersecurity, network, cloud, and infrastructure teams. Integrate PKI solutions with enterprise security technologies, including VPN solutions, email encryption platforms, Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions, authentication services, and network security platforms.

Compliance & Governance: Ensure PKI services comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Promote adherence to cybersecurity best practices and governance frameworks. Support compliance with standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, ISO/IEC standards, and security and risk management frameworks.

Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical and operational documentation. Create procedures, standards, and operational guides. Deliver training and knowledge-transfer sessions on PKI concepts, processes, and best practices. Support operational teams with PKI expertise and guidance.

Required Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in Project Management, PKI, Cybersecurity, or Information Security. Proven experience leading complex IT transformation and infrastructure projects. Strong experience with enterprise PKI environments and cryptographic technologies. Experience managing external suppliers and technology vendors.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have: PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent Project Management certification. CISSP, CISM, CEH, or security-related certifications. Vendor-specific PKI certifications and experience. Experience within highly regulated environments or public sector organizations.

Eligibility Requirements: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, European citizenship required for Security Clearance eligibility, strong English communication skills, ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary environment.
