Omschrijving
Platform Engineer — Kubernetes & Multi-Cloud Orchestration role: a newly formed team is building a cloud-native orchestration platform from the ground up, and you would be one of the engineers deciding what it looks like. The job is to build the layer other engineering teams deploy onto — reliable, secure, self-service. The client is a large financial organisation with a substantial internal engineering population. The team is new, so standards around scalability, security and monitoring are being defined now. You will work across cloud environments rather than inside one, alongside architects and other platform teams. Responsibilities include building and evolving a new orchestration environment, working hands-on with Kubernetes, designing a multi-cloud setup, automating deployment/provisioning/operational processes, building CI/CD and orchestration capabilities, setting reliability/security/monitoring standards, shaping a self-service platform experience, and collaborating with architects and engineers. Tech stack: Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, IaC, multi-cloud; also Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD/Flux, GitOps, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure/AWS/GCP. Must-haves: experience as platform/cloud/DevOps/SRE/Kubernetes engineer; strong hands-on Kubernetes; production experience with orchestration/container platforms; CI/CD, automation, IaC as everyday tools; working grasp of cloud-native architecture; ability to operate in an enterprise environment with many stakeholders. Nice-to-haves: hands-on Azure/AWS/GCP, building internal developer platforms/self-service tooling, Terraform/Helm/ArgoCD/Flux/GitOps/Docker/Prometheus/Grafana, banking background. Good to know: pre-employment screening part of the process; working language English; valid EU work permit or existing right to work in the Netherlands required.
