Platform Services Architect

A leading financial institution in the Netherlands, operating in a highly regulated and complex environment. They invest heavily in building secure, resilient, and modern technology platforms to support critical banking services. We are seeking a Platform Services Architect to shape the future of the organization’s platform architecture. This role involves translating business needs, regulatory standards, and technology developments into clear, practical solutions.

The focus is on designing and improving platform services across operating systems, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience, ensuring the infrastructure remains secure, scalable, and reliable.

Responsibilities include: developing and maintaining the architecture blueprint for platform services, guiding architectural decisions related to Linux, Windows, storage, backup, and recovery solutions, shaping strategies for disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and data protection, collaborating closely with Solution Architects and cross-functional teams, leading the development of technical roadmaps and communicating architectural vision, acting as a trusted advisor for engineering, security, and senior management, identifying opportunities to standardize, improve, and modernize platform services, and co-leading the Platform Services area alongside senior leaders.

Requirements: Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience; extensive experience in complex IT infrastructure environments with a focus on enterprise architecture; strong knowledge of Linux and Windows; deep understanding of storage, backup, disaster recovery, and cyber security strategies; experience with on-premise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure environments; ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively; experience working across multiple teams and stakeholders; collaborative and pragmatic approach; fluency in English and Dutch is essential; experience within regulated sectors, like financial services, is highly advantageous.
