Omschrijving
We are looking for a Principal Product Designer to shape our overarching strategy for customer engagement, loyalty, and membership across our platform. This is a role for a strategic design leader who excels in complex, evolving environments and thinks in end-to-end systems, and can influence product direction and organizational priorities across cross-functional teams. You will collaborate across product, data, and business leadership to shape the long-term vision for customer value and lifecycle experiences. You will create experiences that help users discover value, build lasting relationships with our platform, and drive ongoing engagement. In this role, you will balance immediate product evolution with long-range innovation; modernizing existing engagement models while imagining and shaping next-generation membership and retention opportunities. You will also provide strategic direction to product designers, raising the quality of design thinking, systems execution, and business outcomes across the organization. What You'll Do: Vision & Strategy: Define the long-term design vision and strategy for customer engagement, membership programs, and user value across the product ecosystem. Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with leadership across Product, Engineering, Data, and other areas of the business to identify growth opportunities, shape investment priorities, and influence multi-year roadmaps. End-to-End Experience Design: Lead design direction for core lifecycle touchpoints, including onboarding, benefit delivery, tier structures, personalized incentives, and long-term retention journeys. Strategic Discovery: Drive product discovery by framing complex opportunities, mapping customer needs, prototyping future-state concepts, and validating core assumptions. Systemic Problem Solving: Simplify complex behavioral, commercial, and technical requirements into intuitive, elegant, and motivating user experiences. Experimentation & Optimization: Establish frameworks for measurement and optimization, partnering with Data teams to evaluate user behavior, run experiments, and maximize business impact. Design Systems & Architecture: Define scalable information architecture, interaction models, and cross-platform design patterns that ensure consistency across web and native mobile applications. Leadership & Craft: Provide design leadership to senior practitioners through mentorship, setting quality standards, aligning initiatives, and elevating systems thinking across the team. Modern Workflows: Thoughtfully integrate modern tools, including AI workflows, to accelerate exploration and execution while keeping human-centered design and evidence at the core. What We're Looking For: Proven Impact: A strong portfolio demonstrating strategic design leadership and end-to-end ownership of complex, high-impact consumer products that delivered measurable user and business growth. Senior IC Experience: Track record operating as a Principal or Staff Product Designer influencing product strategy across organizational boundaries without direct line authority. Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of customer engagement, retention mechanics, behavioral design, and subscription or membership models at scale. Systems Thinking: Demonstrated ability to design interconnected user journeys across complex digital ecosystems and multi-sided platforms. Data-Informed Approach: Deep familiarity with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, personalization, and lifecycle metrics to measure design success. Craft Excellence: Strong interaction design and prototyping capabilities, with a keen eye for motion, micro-interactions, and polished customer touchpoints. Executive Communication: Exceptional storytelling and stakeholder management skills with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly to senior executive leadership. Tooling Mastery: Expertise in modern design workflows, including leveraging emerging AI-assisted toolkits to streamline discovery and production.
