Procurement Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Consultant to support procurement and commercial activities across renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in EPC contract negotiation, supply chain management, and renewable energy procurement, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.

This is a 6-month, fully remote freelance contract, offering an immediate start for the right candidate. Key responsibilities include leading and supporting procurement activities across PV and BESS projects, negotiating EPC contracts, commercial terms, pricing, and contractual conditions, managing and developing relationships with suppliers, contractors, and key supply chain partners, supporting the sourcing, evaluation, and selection of equipment, materials, and services, conducting commercial negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and favourable contractual terms, identifying and mitigating procurement and supply chain risks, monitoring supplier performance, lead times, delivery schedules, and contractual obligations, collaborating with project, engineering, commercial, and technical teams to ensure procurement activities align with project requirements, providing procurement and market insight to support project and commercial decision-making, and assisting with the development and implementation of procurement strategies and processes.

Key skills and experience include proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, ideally within the renewable energy or energy infrastructure sector, strong EPC contract negotiation experience, demonstrable experience working on PV/solar and BESS projects, strong commercial and contractual negotiation skills, experience managing suppliers, contractors, and complex supply chains, ability to analyse commercial proposals, contractual terms, and supplier offers, strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, fluent English is essential, Spanish language skills would be a significant advantage, ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment, and availability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the contract.
