Procurement Manager a.i.

The Interim Procurement Manager a.i. will lead the procurement team on a day-to-day basis while driving the professionalization of procurement practices and team development. The focus is on creating structure, developing category management capabilities, and ensuring continuity during a key transformation program.

About Our Client: A manufacturing and production organization in Venlo is seeking an experienced procurement leader to support a strategic business initiative.

Job Description: In this role as Procurement Manager a.i. you will: Lead and manage the procurement function and team on a daily basis. Coach and develop buyers towards a more strategic and category-driven way of working. Implement and improve procurement processes, governance, and best practices. Establish category reviews and support category management development. Ensure the successful execution of procurement strategies defined by senior leadership.

Manage key supplier relationships and strategic commercial discussions. Collaborate closely with Quality, Operations, and other internal stakeholders. Support procurement activities when operational support is required. Drive change initiatives and create a high-performing procurement organization. Monitor procurement performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on procurement-related matters.

The Successful Applicant: Requirements for the Procurement Manager a.i.: Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Head of Procurement, or Procurement Lead in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong track record in procurement transformation and team development. Experience implementing category management and procurement excellence methodologies. Demonstrated ability to lead change and deliver results in complex organizations. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ability to combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. Fluent in English. ZZP registered and based in the Netherlands. What's on Offer: A full-time interim assignment.
