Michael Page zoekt voor een toonaangevende productieorganisatie in de omgeving van Utrecht een ervaren Production Manager a.i. die de volledige verantwoordelijkheid neemt voor de dagelijkse operaties in een complexe productieomgeving. Het is een hands-on leiderschapsrol met aanzienlijke impact op veiligheid, kwaliteit, operationele prestaties en teamontwikkeling. De opdracht duurt 6 maanden, fulltime, op locatie.

Job Description: In this role as Production Manager a.i. you will: Lead and coordinate all daily production activities across multiple production lines and shifts. Ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, compliance, and operational efficiency. Drive performance improvements through KPI management, continuous improvement initiatives, and data-driven decision making. Manage workforce planning, staffing levels, and operational capacity. Build, coach, and develop a high-performing production leadership team.

Collaborate closely with Maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Ensure adherence to operational procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Lead improvement projects focused on productivity, process stability, waste reduction, and cost optimization. Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant: For this role as Production Manager a.i.: HBO/Bachelor-level working and thinking capability. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Strong people management skills and a proven ability to lead through others. Experience with operational excellence methodologies such as Lean, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, or similar. Strong understanding of safety, quality, and compliance within production environments.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where balancing short-term operational demands with long-term improvements is essential. Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate performance metrics into actionable insights. ZZP registered and based in the Netherlands.
