Project Manager – Conversational & Generative AI

Our client, a leading organization in the public transport sector, is looking for a Project Manager to drive the delivery of IT projects in the domain of Generative and Conversational AI. This role involves managing project scope, planning, and implementation to ensure customer requirements are translated into high-quality digital deliverables. Responsibilities include leading project delivery from initiation through to successful completion in collaboration with cross-functional teams; defining project scope, goals, and deliverables based on business requirements and IT capabilities; developing comprehensive project plans and communication materials in line with organizational standards; managing project budgets and proposing adjustments according to defined processes; identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle; and establishing and tracking KPIs to measure the business value created by project outputs.

Requirements: a university degree in Informatics or a related technical field; 2+ years of experience in Conversational AI or Chatbot project management; 2+ years of experience working within the public sector or government-owned organizations; demonstrable experience using Jira across at least two different project environments; a Project Methodology Certificate such as PM²; an Agile Methodology Certificate; being proactive, possessing strong organizational capabilities, and demonstrating a solution-oriented mindset; and fluency in Dutch or French (C1 level) with good knowledge of the second language and English (B level).

Nice to haves: experience with Confluence and ServiceNow; familiarity with managing e-commerce or customer-facing applications; proven experience in stakeholder management and steering committees; possession of a SAFe Certificate; and knowledge of Azure, RAG, LLMs, and Embeddings.

Offer: start date 01/12/2026, duration until 30/11/2029, work regime 80% (0.8 FTE), location Brussels, working model onsite (up to 5 days per week), and contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
