Omschrijving
Brunel is currently searching for a Project Manager II for a long-term contract position with our mining client. This role will be located in Phoenix and will require frequent travel to mine sites throughout Arizona. While local candidates to Phoenix are preferred, out of area candidates will be considered on a 4x1 rotational basis*. The contractor position supports various Stay-in-Business projects and is responsible for full project lifecycle management, beginning with project concept, definition, and design, through execution planning, scheduling, constructability reviews, procurement, field execution, commissioning, and handover to site operations. A strong focus on health and safety, environmental protection, and effective labor relations is essential. Key responsibilities include managing execution of major mining and metallurgical process facilities projects, assembling and coordinating resources, leading project planning and engineering, developing execution strategies, overseeing third-party consultants and contractors, establishing productive working relationships, ensuring robust QA/QC processes, monitoring progress against budget and schedule, driving HSE programs, handling moderately complex issues independently, and being accountable for cost, schedule, quality, and HSE performance. The role operates under limited supervision with significant latitude. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering with at least 10 years of experience in project and construction management, OR a High School diploma/GED with 15+ years of progressive hands-on experience. Strong knowledge of project management, engineering, project controls, contract administration, procurement, logistics, construction, and contracting is required. A proven track record managing mining, heavy industrial, or capital projects valued at $500M+ is essential, along with willingness to travel frequently. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Prior EPCM experience, heavy industrial construction project management experience, knowledge of Lean Construction practices, strong background in heavy machinery installations, understanding of labor requirements, and experience setting and tracking KPIs are also essential. The candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without the need for sponsorship. Brunel offers a weekly rate commensurate with experience, along with medical, dental, and vision benefits starting on the first day of employment, a 401K match, and PTO. For out-of-area candidates, a 4x1 rotation is available: 4 weeks in Phoenix with one week off, with single-status furnished accommodations, travel to and from home, rental car, and monthly stipend. Closing date: September 04, 2026.
