Project Planner

Project Planner (Freelance) for a major industrial construction project in the Port of Antwerp, supporting the delivery of a large-scale Ethane Cracker project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling project schedules, ensuring accurate progress reporting and supporting the successful execution of the project through to completion in June 2027.

Key responsibilities include: developing, maintaining, and updating detailed project schedules using Primavera P6; monitoring project progress, identifying schedule deviations, and implementing recovery plans; producing regular progress reports, forecasts, and schedule analyses; supporting project management teams with planning and scheduling expertise; coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams; conducting critical path analysis and highlighting project risks and opportunities; participating in planning meetings and providing schedule-related recommendations; and ensuring planning activities align with project milestones and client requirements.

Essential requirements: proven experience as a Project Planner on major industrial, construction, energy, or infrastructure projects; expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6; fluent English speaker and writer; ability to work full-time on-site in Antwerp (Monday-Friday); valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one; and legal right to work in Belgium.

Desirable: previous M&E project experience, Spanish language skills, and experience on large-scale petrochemical, oil & gas, or process plant projects. The end client requires all contractors to be tax registered in Belgium; candidates not based in Belgium must be willing to engage through a Belgian umbrella company. Start date ASAP, contract end June 2027, hours 40-50 per week on-site.
