Omschrijving
Our client, a leading organization in the telecommunications sector, is looking for an experienced professional to manage the end-to-end preparation and coordination of fiber infrastructure projects. This role focuses on guiding projects from customer order through design, permitting, and site validation to ensure a seamless handover to construction teams. Responsibilities include managing multiple infrastructure deployment projects simultaneously from intake through to construction readiness, reviewing network designs and validating technical feasibility in coordination with engineering teams, organizing and conducting site visits and surveys, coordinating permit requests and municipal approvals, monitoring project timelines, risks, dependencies, and budgets, and providing regular status updates.
Requirements: 3+ years of experience in project coordination or management, professional background in telecom, utilities, infrastructure, or construction, proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently and overseeing field operations, demonstrated experience with permitting processes and interacting with municipalities, strong skills in stakeholder management, planning, and risk management, analytical and problem-solving abilities, proactive and hands-on attitude, fluent in Dutch and English.
Nice to haves: knowledge of fiber network infrastructure, experience with GIS tools and GIPOD, VCA certification, familiarity with project management methodologies.
Offer: start date ASAP, initial contract until end of year with extension foreseen, full-time, location Ghent and Mechelen, hybrid working model (one day per week in Mechelen and frequent onsite visits), contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
