Python/React Development Service

Our client is seeking an experienced Python/React Developer to strengthen an existing team working on an internal AI platform that facilitates communication and collaboration between intelligent agents. You will contribute to the development of innovative solutions in a technically advanced environment, focusing on AI-driven applications and modern software architecture. Working alongside both external consultants and internal teams, you will support the delivery of robust, scalable, and secure solutions within a dynamic and Agile environment.

Responsibilities: Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI. Contribute to the design and implementation of AI-enabled applications and agent-based systems. Build and enhance frontend applications using React. Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile (Scrum) environment. Participate in technical discussions and proactively contribute ideas and improvements.

Support DevOps practices and modern deployment methodologies.

Technical Requirements: AI & Emerging Technologies: Strong interest or experience in AI Agent development, Large Language Models (LLMs), Model Context Protocol (MCP), Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector databases and AI platforms. Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Microsoft Copilot technologies is considered an advantage.

Backend: Required experience with Python, FastAPI, REST API and service development, Message queues and messaging solutions (RabbitMQ or similar), Database development and integration (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy ORM), Security and authentication (SAML, OAuth, Entra ID), Automated testing using Pytest.

DevOps & Cloud: Knowledge of Containerization technologies, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD.

Frontend: Required experience with React, JavaScript, CSS, UI Development, NX for Micro Frontend architecture.

Nice to have: Microservices architecture experience.

Soft Skills: The ideal consultant is an effective communicator in English (spoken and written), demonstrates a strong team-oriented mindset, takes ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, is proactive and comfortable sharing ideas backed by sound reasoning, thrives in Agile/Scrum environments, has a positive and collaborative attitude.

Location & Working Model: Location: Brussels region.

Hybrid work model: Minimum 2 days onsite per week. The onsite requirement is applied pro rata for part-time assignments.

Eligibility Requirements: For consultants requiring authorization to work in Belgium: a valid Belgian work permit is mandatory; a valid residence permit granting the right to reside and work in Belgium is required.
