Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Our client is a leading global food & beverage company, focused on Essential Dairy & Plant-Based products, Waters, and Specialized Nutrition, with a mission to inspire healthier and more sustainable eating and drinking practices worldwide. We're looking for an experienced and strategic Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join the team on a temporary basis, covering maternity leave. This role is based in Rijswijk and involves supporting the regulatory framework across the Benelux region, working closely with colleagues in Brussels.

The successful candidate will act as a key regulatory partner, ensuring product compliance, enabling innovation, and helping the company stay ahead in a competitive environment.

Responsibilities: Ensure all products comply with local regulations in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, including product composition and communication. Review and assess all marketing, consumer, healthcare professional, and sales communication materials across various channels, ensuring regulatory adherence. Contribute regulatory expertise to support innovation projects, working closely with development teams to provide guidance and solutions.

Validate labels, artworks, and packaging to meet legal and corporate standards. Manage the notification process for product registrations and notifications in the Dutch, Belgian, and Luxembourg markets.

Requirements: Bachelor's or master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science, Law, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years' experience in a regulatory role within the industry or a law firm. Native or fluent in Dutch; fluent in English; French language skills are a plus. Strong communication skills and proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently. Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex regulations into clear business guidance.
