Our client, in consumer cleaning goods manufacturing, is seeking an R&D Associate (Science) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have chemistry, formulation, and team playing skills. The role is a 1-year contract with possible extension, paying $40-$50 hourly. Key responsibilities include developing new products and technologies driven by consumer insights, leading projects through the product development process, collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, driving multiple innovation projects, and strengthening innovation capabilities through system improvements and coaching. Required qualifications: BS/BA with 5+ years, MS with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year of relevant experience in Personal Care or Surface Care; proven track record of delivering technical projects in an FMCG environment; strong understanding of product development from concept to launch; demonstrated project management skills; solid formulation expertise; and knowledge of intellectual property, licensing, competitive intelligence, and regulatory frameworks (EPA, FDA, BPR).
