Robot Operator (ENG)

As Robot Operator, you will work alongside your colleagues on construction sites and make sure Monumental’s construction robot can do its job. You prepare and position the robot and other equipment, start and operate the system and keep an eye on how the work is progressing. Construction sites do not always work out exactly as planned, so when circumstances change, you adjust the equipment or work with your colleagues to find a practical solution. You also move and reset the equipment when the next stage of work begins.

You will still be doing physical and practical work, but with new tools and technology added to the mix. You do not need to know anything about robotics before you start, and you will not be expected to programme the robot or solve complicated technical faults. Being comfortable with smartphones, computers and apps is enough to get started. Your first two weeks consist of hands-on training in Amsterdam, after which you continue learning while working on site.

First two weeks in Amsterdam

Functie eisen

Preferably, experience working on or around construction sites

Experience in practical or technical work is an advantage

You are comfortable working with machinery and equipment

You can use computers, smartphones and apps

You speak sufficient English to communicate with colleagues

You can attend two full weeks of training in Amsterdam

You are willing to carry out physical and operational work

A technical qualification is an advantage, but not required

A driving licence is an advantage, but not required

You can investigate problems and try practical solutions

You can adapt to new technology, systems and working methods

What we offer

This role gives you the chance to use the practical experience you already have while learning something completely new. Monumental trains you to work with its construction robots and continues to guide you on site afterwards. You can therefore move into construction robotics without previous Robot Operator or programming experience.

A gross salary of €3,480 per month based on full-time employment

A 32–40 hour working week

25 days of annual leave based on full-time employment
