Secure Digital Workplace Specialist – International

Deliver and support secure digital workplace services (VDI/secure desktop and NextCloud collaboration) in an air-gapped Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment for classified, high-assurance workloads. The client is delivering a secure, off-premises cloud capability for NATO, based on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The Lot 1 solution is physically and logically air-gapped, with no live connectivity to public cloud, and is designed for classified, high assurance workloads.

Oracle is the technology subcontractor and Cisco is the network hardware partner.

Role focus: VDI / secure desktop, NextCloud collaboration, endpoint, service desk & site support.

Key responsibilities: deliver and support secure virtual desktop / VDI services; implement and support NextCloud-based secure file sharing, document management and collaboration; support endpoint, service desk and site-support activities; ensure classified information remains contained inside the protected environment.

Environment & technologies: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), air-gapped / isolated cloud environment, Terraform / Infrastructure as Code, Zero Trust security model, classified / high-assurance workloads, VDI / secure desktops, NextCloud, endpoint and site support.

Clearance & delivery model: NATO Secret (NS) clearance is required and cleared, OCI-experienced profiles are the top priority. A hybrid delivery model is being contemplated, with the possibility of partially non-NS-cleared personnel for suitable roles. Priority remains with NS-assurance workloads.

Duration & timing: the engagement is a 12-month prototype. Heavy build activity is concentrated in approximately the first 6-7 months, followed by accreditation and test/run activities through month 12.

Must-haves: NATO Secret (NS) clearance is required and cleared; OCI-experienced profiles are the top priority.
