Secure Coding Domain Expert – Application Security. For a large Dutch financial organisation, we are looking for an experienced Secure Coding Domain Expert to strengthen its application security and software development standards. You will work closely with development teams across the organisation, helping them understand, prioritise and resolve security findings. The role combines hands-on application security, secure coding, vulnerability analysis and improving the tooling and standards used by engineering teams.

What you will do: analyse and triage findings from SAST and SCA tools; help developers understand vulnerabilities and how to remediate them; maintain and improve secure coding standards; improve security rulesets to reduce false positives and unnecessary noise; support development teams with secure software development practices; contribute to internal security tooling and repository scanning solutions; help assess emerging risks, including AI-driven threats; share application security knowledge across engineering teams.

What we are looking for: strong experience in application security and secure coding; hands-on software development experience in at least one programming language; experience with SAST and SCA tooling such as Fortify, Nexus Lifecycle, Sonatype, Checkmarx, Veracode, Snyk or similar; experience analysing and prioritising security findings; able to explain technical security issues clearly to software developers; comfortable working in a large corporate environment; fluent English; Dutch is not required.
