Senior AI Security Expert – GenAI & Governance

Our client, a major organization in the public safety sector, is looking for a specialist to evaluate their AI and GenAI security posture. This role involves conducting a comprehensive assessment of AI usage, governance frameworks, and risk profiles to establish a clear improvement roadmap for the security office.

Responsibilities include: performing a thorough inventory and risk assessment of AI and GenAI usage across the organization, including identifying shadow AI; analyzing AI governance structures, policies, and responsibility frameworks; evaluating technical risks specific to AI applications, such as data leakage, prompt injection, and model security; conducting a gap analysis regarding compliance with the European AI Act; facilitating workshops and interviews with stakeholders; developing a strategic action plan and executive reporting; and ensuring knowledge transfer to the internal security team.

Requirements: 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a specialized focus on AI and GenAI security; expert knowledge of AI governance frameworks such as NIST AI RMF or ISO/IEC 42001; deep understanding of the European AI Act and GDPR; experience performing audits or security assessments for AI applications; a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field; ability to work autonomously; strong communication skills; fluency in English with active knowledge of Dutch or French.

Nice to have: ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certification, CISSP or CISM, certifications in AI Governance.
