Senior C/C++ Engineer

As a Senior C/C++ Engineer, you will contribute to the digital transformation of a leading financial institution, with a strong focus on Identity & Access Management (IAM) and information security. The team operates in a mature Agile/Scrum environment and is responsible for developing and maintaining custom-built products that support the organisation’s identity and access landscape. The team is currently moving its infrastructure to a new platform, and we are looking for an experienced C/C++ developer who can contribute to this technical transition while working within established security, architecture and development standards.

Your focus will be on translating customer and business needs into robust technical solutions, strengthening existing applications and contributing to the continued development of secure and reliable IAM products.

Key responsibilities include: developing, maintaining and implementing applications using C/C++; contributing to the technical transition of existing infrastructure to a new platform; refactoring and improving existing software components, including the Replication Server; contributing to the replacement of Adyton hardware; developing and maintaining secure connections between systems; applying secure coding principles throughout the software development lifecycle; developing and maintaining SOAP and REST services; working with Linux-based environments; contributing to CI/CD development and automation; analysing and resolving critical technical issues; working within the organisation’s established architecture, security and development standards; collaborating closely with other engineers, stakeholders and team members in an Agile/Scrum environment; contributing technical expertise, sharing knowledge and acting as a mentor to less experienced colleagues; and providing and receiving constructive feedback.

Required skills and experience: minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development and implementation; strong professional experience with C/C++ development; demonstrable experience developing and maintaining C/C++ applications; experience with secure coding and security-conscious software development; experience with CI/CD development; strong knowledge of Linux OS; experience developing and integrating SOAP and REST services; experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and experience working within complex enterprise or business-critical environments.

Preferred skills and experience: experience as a Software Architect or Software Designer; knowledge and experience with Azure DevOps; experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM); experience with infrastructure or platform migrations; and experience working in highly regulated, security-sensitive or financial-services environments.
