Eisen

Our client is looking for an experienced and autonomous Senior Cloud Engineer to play a key role in designing, building, and scaling a new cloud-based platform. The mission focuses on delivering secure, reliable, high-performing, and cost-efficient AWS infrastructure with a strong emphasis on quality, automation, and operational excellence. As Senior Cloud Engineer, you will take ownership of the cloud infrastructure supporting a newly developed platform.

You will work primarily within AWS, ensuring scalability, security, observability, and operational reliability while collaborating closely with development teams.

Key responsibilities include: designing, implementing, and scaling AWS cloud infrastructure; building and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform; taking ownership of the full infrastructure lifecycle; integrating cloud services with distributed physical devices; ensuring high availability, security, monitoring, and performance; managing incidents and performing root cause analysis; implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions; optimizing CI/CD pipelines; ensuring compliance and security best practices; monitoring and optimizing cloud costs; providing technical guidance; and maintaining technical documentation.

Must-have requirements: minimum 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering; minimum 5 years of hands-on AWS experience; strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code; proven ability to work independently; experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and CloudWatch; solid knowledge of CI/CD; strong scripting in Python and Bash; experience with Git; strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice-to-have: knowledge of Kafka, Docker and AWS ECS, and AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Associate-level).
