Senior Data Governance & Risk Lead

Company: A leading asset management organization dedicated to responsible investing and strategic growth. The company focuses on managing data with integrity and ensuring compliance across all risk management processes, supporting its vision for sustainable and secure asset allocation.

Role Description: As a Senior Data Governance & Risk Lead, you are responsible for strengthening data governance, controls, and risk management across the organization. You will work closely with senior management, Risk, Compliance, IT, and international teams to identify data risks, develop effective controls, and ensure governance practices are embedded across business processes.

Responsibilities: Advise on data governance policies, controls, and risk objectives; develop and implement data management controls; identify, assess, and monitor data-related risks; support data governance awareness and training initiatives; advise senior management and risk committees on data risks; monitor and report on the data risk profile; support continuous improvement of data governance and control frameworks; promote knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements: 5–10 years of experience in data management, governance, or risk within financial services; experience in banking, asset management, or another regulated environment; strong understanding of data controls and risk management; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; strong analytical and organizational abilities; experience working with international teams and technical stakeholders.
