Omschrijving
Brunel is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and execution of electrical infrastructure projects. This role provides technical leadership across substation, transmission, distribution, and plant electrical systems, while coordinating closely with engineering, project management, interconnection, and operations teams. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality, cost-effective designs and ensuring successful execution of capital projects from concept through commissioning. Responsibilities include leading the development and project management of substation designs, project layouts, mining plant electrical systems, transmission lines, and distribution line designs; supporting cross-functional engineering groups; identifying and evaluating new substation sites; developing and reviewing scopes of work, one-line and three-line diagrams, electrical layouts, panel layouts, evaluations, and engineering standards drawings; acting as a senior electrical project manager for multiple concurrent projects; serving as a technical subject matter expert and primary utility interface; ensuring due diligence, engineering reviews, constructability reviews, and technical submittals; participating in supplier evaluation and RFP evaluations; developing optimization and process-improvement tools; interfacing with engineering, project management, and operations teams; participating in site visits; identifying value engineering opportunities; providing senior-level quality assurance; leading external contractors; providing regular reporting; and supporting corporate engineering processes. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline; 10+ years of hands-on experience in substation physical and electrical relay design; experience leading or mentoring engineering teams of five or more people; working knowledge of ETAP, SKM, and AutoCAD; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; proven leadership skills; strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple projects; and comfort working collaboratively with diverse teams.
