Senior Engineer (DevSecOps)

Senior Engineer (DevSecOps) — Request C005486. Plans, designs, implements and deploys secure DevSecOps solutions across CIS environments, supporting reliable software delivery and mission-critical infrastructure.

Main duties: Design, install, configure and integrate DevSecOps platforms, pipelines and automation frameworks; embed security controls, compliance checks and automated security testing throughout the software development lifecycle; perform system testing, validation and acceptance activities; support deployment, migration and operational handover; produce technical designs, architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, security artefacts and operational documentation; coordinate with project teams, architects, security stakeholders and operational authorities; identify and mitigate technical risks, resolve issues and support quality assurance and project governance; provide regular reports covering progress, milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, resource use and decisions required.

Experience and requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience; at least 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, software engineering, platform engineering or infrastructure automation; experience supporting secure, on-premises CIS environments, enterprise data centres and mission-critical systems; experience building DevSecOps pipelines, integrating security throughout the SDLC, and implementing Infrastructure as Code, configuration management and automated deployments; experience with containerized and cloud-native technologies hosted on-premises; experience producing technical documentation and operational handover materials; military, defence, government or mission-critical operational experience is desirable; NATO SECRET security clearance required.

Technical expertise: expertise or experience is required in several of the following areas: DevSecOps and CI/CD (secure delivery pipelines, automated builds, testing and deployment; GitLab, Jenkins or Azure DevOps); Infrastructure and automation (Infrastructure as Code, provisioning and configuration management; Terraform, Ansible, Puppet; Python, Bash or PowerShell); Containers and platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, container security, image management and platform engineering); Cybersecurity (secure coding, SAST, DAST, Software Composition Analysis, vulnerability management, secrets management and identity/access controls); Systems and infrastructure (Linux, Windows Server, virtualization, application hosting, middleware and databases); Monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic or equivalent; troubleshooting, incident response and performance monitoring).

Mandatory certifications: at least one DevOps/platform/automation certification (CKA, Terraform Associate, Docker Certified Associate, or an industry-recognized equivalent); additionally, at least one cybersecurity certification (CompTIA Security+, GSEC, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, or an industry-recognized equivalent).
