Senior Engineer (Network)

Senior Engineer (Network) for NCIM in Brunssum, Netherlands. Plans, designs, implements and supports secure enterprise and deployable network infrastructure across CIS environments, ensuring reliable connectivity for mission-critical operations.

Main duties: develop technical designs; install, configure and integrate network and Core Services components; perform testing, validation and acceptance activities; support deployments, upgrades, migrations and modernization; support fixed and deployable networks, including deployment, operation, sustainment and recovery in operational environments; monitor network availability and performance; troubleshoot faults, conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions; maintain architecture diagrams, implementation plans, operating procedures and configuration baselines; coordinate with project teams, architects, security stakeholders and operational authorities; identify and mitigate risks, support quality assurance and provide regular NCIA reports covering progress, deliverables, issues, resources and decisions required.

Experience and requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent education and professional experience; at least 5 years of experience designing, implementing, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise and deployable networks; experience supporting on-premises CIS environments, including data centres, server rooms, command-and-control facilities and deployable communications systems; experience integrating and testing fixed and deployable network architectures; experience with mission-critical network installations, upgrades, migrations and modernization; strong network documentation, fault diagnosis, root-cause analysis and performance optimization experience; military, defence, government or other mission-critical operational experience is desirable; NATO SECRET security clearance required.

Required certifications: CCNP Enterprise and JNCIP-Enterprise.
