Location: Leuven, Belgium.

Working hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week. We are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst with a Java development background to support complex information systems within the banking and insurance sector. You will translate business needs into functional designs and work closely with business stakeholders and development teams throughout delivery.

Responsibilities: plan and coordinate preliminary analysis and functional design activities; translate business requirements into clear functional specifications; assess service requests for feasibility, technical impact, resource needs and delivery estimates; define requirements for new features and system enhancements; support development, testing, implementation and production changes; contribute to system upgrades and help resolve issues with existing applications; collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs.

Your profile: 5+ years of experience managing the functional design of information systems; at least 3 years as a Functional Analyst in a complex technical environment; at least 2 years of experience as a Java Developer; proven experience in banking and/or insurance; knowledge of Java SDK, Open Systems, Jira and Confluence; familiarity with Agile methodologies, software development and IT security; strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with a data-driven approach; clear, structured communication and strong teamwork skills; proactive, adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic environment; Dutch language skills and working proficiency in English.
