Omschrijving
Our client in the health insurance sector is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join the Post-Out team within Soft Facilities. The Facilities team consists of several Agile teams, including the Post-Out team, which has approximately seven members. This team manages all outgoing communications to 4.5 million members via email, SMS, letters, Doccle, etc., representing 80 million communications per year. The team uses two Document Management Systems called Papyrus and Comform. The necessary upgrades to the latest version must be completed, the old system must be phased out, and multiple test scenarios must be carried out and coordinated. The role requires a native Dutch or French speaker with very good additional knowledge of Dutch/French and English, very strong and in-depth technical analysis skills, and experience working in an Agile environment and Scrum team, as well as experience as a Scrum Master. Responsibilities include communicating efficiently with stakeholders, ensuring code is fully covered by unit tests, making technical improvement proposals, supporting the tester, analysing integrations, developing technical design based on functional analysis, collaborating with infrastructure employees, and documenting software thoroughly. The profile calls for in-depth knowledge of Quarkus, JSP, SQL, Java 8 and higher, XML, XSD, Web Services (SOAP and REST), and OpenShift, experience with development and deployment in cloud environments (preferably AWS), knowledge of tools such as WebLogic, Maven, Nexus, Git, with AWS services like EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS and SNS/SQS as an asset. Experience in enterprise-class systems and Agile methodologies is required. The personality should be high-energy, motivated, persistent, goal-oriented, and organised. Work schedule is 5 days per week, with 1 day per week in Schaerbeek and 4 days working from home. Start is ASAP, duration until 31/12/2026 with possible extension. Type: Freelance.
